Viaggio in Italia, Come to Italy with Me is a unique educational and experimental journey unfolding as a series of residency workshops that reinforce the deep connection with the explored territories. From Venice to Milan, on to Valcamonica and Umbria, finally arriving in Lecce, countless moments of experimentation and narration enhance the master’s itinerary, resuming the tradition and concept of journey undertaken by Guido Piovene in the fifties.

Master Iuav in Photography takes off from the Iuav University of Venice1 to then make stop-overs at Villa Manin (Passariano di Codroipo, Udine)2, Fondazione Fabbri (Soligo, Treviso)3, Milan4, Museo della Riserva Naturale Incisioni Rupestri di Ceto, Cimbergo e Paspardo (Val Camonica, Brescia)5, l’Ospitale, headquarters of Linea di Confine per la Fotografia Contemporanea (Rubiera, Reggio Emilia)6. The journey continues to Villa Fabri (Trevi, Perugia)7, Urbino (Pesaro, Urbino) and finally, Lecce8.

The first four-week residency in Venice (1) introduces the language of photography, followed by the two-week (stages 2,4,5,7,8) and one-week (stages 3 and 6) workshops based on editing and project planning seminars. The professors and tutors of the master will guide the students. A public presentation of the works will follow each workshop.
